Scott is the founding director of the Bishop Helmsing Institute which began in September 2006. By the Fall of 2009, over 800 students have taken at least one course from the institute, and in the summer of 2009 the first class of 45 “three year program” Catechists graduated.
Scott has a master’s degree in New Testament studies from Regent College and is a PhD candidate at the Pontifical University in Maynooth Ireland.
